All Beam Profiling Camera products (including WinCamD, BladeCam, and TaperCamD models) are USB 2.0 port-powered cameras with CCD & CMOS array sensors. These produce a 2D false color digital Image of the beam intensity. From these images, XY profiles may be shown for any location on the beam. Cameras are normally both the best and most economical choice when the beam wavelength and diameter are appropriate.
All Beam’R2 and BeamMap2 products are USB 2.0 port-powered scanning slit instruments. Narrow slits scan between the incoming beam and a large single element detector. They produce XY profiles of the beam intensity integrated along the length of the scanning slit. Knife Edge mode profiles sub-micron beams.
- Beam’R2 is a compact, high-performance, economical XY profiler, appropriate when the wavelength &/or small beam dimensions are not covered by a camera and when single Z plane XY profiles are all that is required.
- BeamMap2, with multiple scan planes in Z, offers real-time XYZQF profiling and focus position, plus real-time M2. The selected Z plane spacing must be appropriate to the application.
- ColliMates are a specific wide Z plane spacing BeamMap for beam waists in the few hundred µm regime.
The BeamScope is a versatile linear scan probe instrument available with field interchangeable pinhole, single slit and XY slit assemblies. With single slits or pinholes the scan range is a large 30 mm. Addition of an M2DU scanning stage gives a raster scan imager with a large 30 x 44 mm imaged area capability.
